Tammie Lynn Bush's Obituary
With heavy hearts, we share the sudden loss of our beloved Tammie—Momma, Nana, Wife, Friend, Sister, Daughter, and so much more. Her passing leaves an unfillable void in our lives, and our hearts ache along with the many friends and family members who were blessed to know her.
To know Tammie was to experience unconditional love. She possessed a remarkable gift for making everyone feel seen, safe, and valued. Her kindness, generosity, and non-judgmental nature touched countless lives, and her legacy will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
Tammie was always so positive and, even while facing many obstacles, she always smiled and radiated her joy and laughter onto everyone she met. She was like a ray of sunshine, touching the lives of all around her.
More than anything, Tammie loved her family with all her heart. She shared authentic, deep, and unconditional bonds with each of them—from her husband to her youngest grandchild—creating countless cherished memories that will be treasured forever. Tammie had a special nickname for everyone; rarely did anyone get called by their real name when she was involved, a small testament to the personal and loving connections she forged.
Tammie is survived by her husband of 42 years and the love of her life, Steve; her daughter, Lacey, and her son-in-love, Jasen, along with their three children and grandchildren to “Nana”—Gracey, Bostyn, and Tanner; and her son, Brandon, and daughter-in-love, Madi, with their five children and grandchildren to “Nana”—Maison, Zoie, Harper, Oli, and Oaklee. Tammie always said that having grandkids was the best part of her life. She also leaves behind her dear friend, her “sista” Sheryl, and many other loved ones who cherished every moment with her.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Charlene “Meme” Flow, her fathers, Floyd Flow and Richard Watson, and most recently, her best buddy “Red”—her loyal Australian Shepherd, who was like a human best friend to her. Our family finds solace in knowing that she is now watching over us, reunited with her mother Charlene and her cherished friend, “Red.”
While a piece of our hearts was taken with you, we are truly grateful for the memories that are left behind—memories we get to walk through our daily lives and hold close and dear, always reminding us of the light you brought into our lives.
Thank you for being imperfectly perfect in all that you do and all that you are, and for always showing us how to be authentically ourselves. You taught us to live with hearts full of love and compassion for others, to see that there are always two sides to every story, and to recognize the best in everyone. You encouraged us to stay positive in any situation and to embrace your favorite motto: "live, laugh & love." We are who we are because of who you taught us to be—with your words, but mostly with your actions.
We hope that you carry Tammie in your hearts with love and joy forever. The family asks for prayers for peace and comfort during this time. There will not be a formal funeral or celebration of life, but Tammie would love for you to celebrate her in anything that you do or that makes you think of her, and remember the remarkable life and light she brought to this world.
Rest in peace, Momma, Nana and dear friend. You will be forever loved and dearly missed. We will look for you as our angel watching over us—in a cotton candy colored sky, in a front row parking spot somewhere, or even at the casino playing slot machines. When we hear laughter that comes from deep within our hearts, when we see a cardinal or any bird stopping by for a visit, or when we are at the ocean and see a dolphin pop up out of the water, we will know you are watching over us.
