I first met Tammie at a fourth grade football game of my son’s and Brandon’s. She was an always there supporting Brandon and the whole team, mothering any who got a scrape or bruise. She was a fun lady to be around, and so nice. Thinking of all of her family.

Oh Tammie, you were my mommas (Kim West) very bestest friend/sole sister and all of us are going to miss you so much! Of course you were “Aunt Tammie” to us and we will never forget you for the rest of our lives! Tammie, you were nothing short of absolutely amazing! Your soul was the kindest and sweetest and you would always give the shirt off your back for anyone. You made my momma so happy and she talked about you so much! Y'all were “two peas in a pod” for sure. We will miss you at our 4th of July parties and our get togethers. I don’t know if we can go on having them without you! You were the light of life in everyone’s eyes and so precious to our family! We love you so very much and we are going to miss you so much it hurts. What an amazing woman and such a huge loss for all of us left behind. Tammie was truly a mom to me and many others since I was 10. She always made sure I had all my baseball stuff and if I forgot she would pick it up and call my mom to say “Lunsford left his bat again…” Her and Steve were my home away from home for so many years. I will always remember her getting us giant bowls of cereal, letting us stay up late, and breakfast and coffee every morning with her and meme! When we grew up to high school she was at every game sun or snow in shorts always. She never got cold no matter what the temp was and was the loudest in the stands. She treated my wife as her own and always welcomed her, called her, and was there for her anytime we needed. When I had kids of my own she always loved on them as if they were her own grandkids, taking care of them and showing them the same love she did to me when we were little. I could call and talk to her anytime and the laugh was just infectious and would always make me smile. Tammie us such a huge loss to us all but especially to Brandon and Lacey and all those amazing grandkids. She was the epitome of a matriarch to that family and loved them with everything she had in her. The Lunsfords will miss our second mom and grandma dearly and I will think of her anytime I see little critters running around, when I can’t decide to wear shorts or pants, and when I need someone to cheer loudly for me. Love you so much Tammie and Steve and all the Bush’s our prayers and hearts are with you all through this.

Oh me oh my. What a trip down memory lane Tammy's passing is. She sat very high on my anchors of childhood figure heads. I adored your mom to her core. There was never any judgement and always a place for those searching for someone to see them. When I became a mother to a beautiful child with an uncertain future she was one of our biggest cheerleaders, always reminding me that I came from a place of cheerleaders and warriors. I loved that my "true blue friend" had a mom that always bought his football pants a size too small just for us ladies to enjoy the toosh that she made... Every season she told us so. I mostly loved how she always made me feel seen. I think about her often as I am entering the teen phase with my first born and again with 2 boys coming up next. She always seemed to have solid footing when it comes to the kids in her life, biological and friends of. I am so glad to have known her and to have learned from her. Rest high on that mountain Tammy. You really were a light in the darkness for me and many more.
