We called him Soda Pop. He was our bus driver when I was little. He loved us and was always so kind. If I remember correctly, he was the one who would stop the bus on Fridays at the little general store in Briscoe (gone now) and let us get off the bus to buy a Coke and candy bar. So - if we had 15 cents, we could get a Coke for a dime and a candy bar for a nickel. But since those days, I have kept in touch with him when I would come back home to TX through Gageby Church. He was a dedicated Christian and loyal church member for years. I looked forward to his smile and interest in how my life was going. He was a true gem of a man. I am sad to know that he has left us here, but I know he is having a ball in Heaven - because that's the kind of guy he was. I will be praying for all of his family and friends during this difficult time as you grieve. I will grieve with you from afar. Love to you all.
