I have a lot of fun childhood memories of Nelda and Joe and the family.
So sorry I wasn’t able to honor her today at her service. We are vacationing out of state.

In about 1959, Joe and Nelda invited Gaylord Latham and me to hunt prairie chickens on their farm. Nelda offered to cook them for dinner that weekend with smothered gravy and potatoes. That was a one of a kind meal. Nothing better than prairie chickens but they liked to run down the rows of Milo grain and were hard to hit.
