Mary Beth Schoon's Obituary
Mary "Beth" Schoon, 80, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2019 in Corinth, Texas.
Services will be 3:00 PM Sunday, December 8, 2019 in the First United Methodist Church in Mobeetie with Rev. Jason Leochner, officiating. Burial will follow in Wheeler Cemetery in Wheeler.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Wheeler.
Mary "Beth" Schoon was born July 22nd, 1939 to Clyde and Flora Mae Kelley in Dallas, Texas. Beth grew up and graduated from Wheeler High School and attended college at West Texas State University in Canyon, Texas. She met the love of her life, Donald Schoon, December of 1961 and on June 16th, 1962 they were married in Amarillo, Texas. Beth had one daughter, Shonda, who was the light of her life. Beth began working for Amarillo National Bank in 1960 and spent her career with them in human resources. Before retiring, she worked for First National Bank in Amarillo.
Beth enjoyed many thing in life mostly watching her daughter grow up. She loved family and was passionate about everyone of them. She loved to sew for hours on end, and loved her flowers and garden. She was a huge Elvis fan and you could tell by the pictures in her sewing room. She loved music and would listen for hours on end. She was a devout Methodist and follower of Jesus Christ as by how she loved everyone she come in contact with, especially her family.
She is proceeded in death by her parents Clyde and Flora Mae Kelley.
Survivors Include her husband of 57 years Donald Schoon. Her Daughter, Shonda Schoon-Leochner and husband Jason of Corinth, Texas, 3 grandchildren: Brittanie, Maddie and Jase. Three brothers, and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
