Marcia was a beautiful lady inside and out and a very special lady to our family. Her Orange Cake recipe is still one of our family favorites. Every time my family came to Shamrock to visit Mother and Daddy, Gaston & Katherine Harbour, Marica always came to visit and brought an Orange Cake to the house for us to enjoy. Scott and I grieve with you in the loss of Marcia. She has been very special to our family for many years. Of course the Barefoots knew her long before the Birds as she and Mildred worked together. When my family (Bird) moved to the Twitty area in 1981 we became neighbors as well as church family. My parents (Carson and Jeanette Bird) as well as my inlaws (Delmer and Mildred Barefoot) played lots of 88 together and of course were dear friends.
Marcia graciously opened up her home to our first child's baby shower in 1987 and I have many memories of her all day cookie baking as well as always being such a gracious hostess to many over the years. As some say, Marcia was the Hostess with the Mostest!
I loved your beautiful, graceful and always classy mom/grandmother dearly and have so much respect for her and Curley. They were amazing people and I feel so honored to have known them and called them friends.

Marcia was a good friend to my parents, J L and Frankie. They played many a domino game together as well. They attended First Baptist together for many years. My parents loved Marcia and Curly.
