I never saw him angry or upset. He was always smiling and happy. :) Always seemed to have an abundance of joy.
I knew this day would come but it seems like it's still too soon. Larry was always the kind of person to help first and not ask for anything in return. He was a mentor and had a good moral compass. Wayne, Philip, and I remodeled the slaughter plant together, spending a lot of hours each day trying to get it done in as short a time as possible. Up on the roof in icy weather with ropes to keep us from falling and Larry telling us we're crazy. I left Shamrock in '97 and didn't stay in touch as I should have. I learned a lot from Larry, most especially how to treat friends and family. He'll be missed.
