McLEAN SERVICES - Graveside services at 4:30 pm on Monday, June 21, 2010 in Hillcrest Cemetery in McLean with Rev. Thacker Haynes, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church in McLean, officiating. INTERMENT - Hillcrest Cemetery in McLean. ARRANGEMENTS - Robertson Funeral Directors of McLean. Mrs. Greene was born September 28, 1938 in Supulpa, OK, the only child of R. B. and Pauline Olinger Smith. She grew up in Vernon where she graduated from high school. She attended West Texas State University in Canyon where she was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi social sorority, and graduated from WTSU in 1960. She received her Masters Degree in Spanish from Tarleton State University. She began teaching in 1961 in Hart and later taught in Norwood, Colorado, Vernon, Whiterock, Lometa, San Saba, Olton, Amarillo, Shamrock, Samnorwood, and McLean. She had been a resident of McLean for the past 20 years and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in McLean. She enjoyed crafts and teaching Spanish. PRECEDED IN DEATH BY - her parents. SURVIVORS - one son, Russell Greene of Lubbock; and 2 grandchildren, Adam Greene and Ashly Greene both of Lubbock. MEMORIALS - Shriners Scottish Rite Hospitals.
