I met Jeanine many years ago through some of her life long teaching and traveling friends. The friends and families spent many afternoons and evenings at her elegant condo enjoying long conversations over cocktails before going out for dinner. A couple of us joined her in bike rides thru the park across the street from her condo ,but health stopped our rides before any marathons. She always withstood my teasing about a lot of subjects and always had a come-back. Two of us helped her move into her place and she said she was only going to open and move a couple of boxes...ignoring her wishes we moved the mountain of boxes before we allowed her to end the day and that included thousands (some exaggeration) of boxes of shoes. Jeanine loved her friends and stuff. She is truly missed as this is really an end to an era. Leo Johnson
