I wrote this when Christy debit passed away… 10 years ago! I find myself feeling the same way today! This week I’ve lost 3 good men in my life! First Josh Kempsell awesome young man for sure, because his mother (Janie ) and bob Kempsel raise him and Robbie Kempsell to be just that !
Number 2 was joe Gillispie (Susan Seale Gillispie) joe influenced me as a younger man just as I moved to Lubbock! 21 years ago. Lost and starting a new life/ business! The saying iron sharpens iron is true! Joe always showed up or called when I needed him! He didn’t know it but God used him to provide for me. One year the boys wouldn’t have had Christmas except for a job he needed done! The check came just in time to cover Christmas for them! Probably one of the best men I’ve ever had the privilege to know!
3. Was jack wordlow. Christy Wardlow White. He was a man that probably didn’t know how he influenced me. As a young boy he would let me fish in his lake! A pro ledge most people didn’t have. As my Grandad Jackson was helping build his house, maw-maw Jackson would take me fishing! I caught the biggest bass I’ve ever caught out there! I still have a picture of it today!
So as you celebrate these great men this week! Please remember that we and those around us have no promise of tomorrow! So live your lives like there is no tomorrow! Go see those men and women that you should hug their neck and tell them what they mean to you!
I have lost many friends and family over the years to many to list! My heart breaks every time I read about one!
In closeing try to be the man or woman that God put you here for! Tell his ( Jesus’s) story, so they know where you are going!
For those that read to the end thank you for your time! I love y’all…
