Frances “Marie” Barnes, 81, of Claude passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2020, in Amarillo. Private family memorial services will be held. Cremation and arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors. Marie was born in McClou Read Obituary
Marie (Mrs. Sellon as I new her best back in the 1970’s) was such a strong woman. I admired her so much for her strength and determination to provide for her family as a single Mom. She raised respectful children that grew up to be good people. I know for sure that Rance was always very proud of her. I am so sorry for your loss and I am sending prayers if peace and live to you all.
Marie, sweet, funny and dear Lady, we shared many laughs and fun times together, I know we walked miles and miles together... you were a delight...a wonderful addition to Heaven....we will walk together again Marie.
David and I are so sorry to hear about Marie. Growing up I remember every time I saw her I always thought she was so elegant and she was always very kind. Keeping Ron, her kids, grandkids, and all who love her in our thoughts and prayers.

No one could ask for a better best friend than Marie. She was always by my side when I needed her. She was my Rock. We had so many good times when I worked with her at CAT. We would laugh an laugh. She had such a contagious laugh so we couldn’t do it quietly. Marie was a Classy Lady and always dressed to perfection. My boys would look forward to the holidays for Marie’s home breads. Everyone loved Marie. I loved Marie and I know she loved me. She will.alway be in my heart.

Marie, was like a mom to all of us kids. Funny the things we remember, but I recall the rum balls she made for the holidays. I always laughed as a kid when we rode in her car, the Mercury Cougar. She had those plastic covers on her seats and we would slide around like a slip and slide. How funny that was. I enjoyed visiting with her on Facebook, she was so interested in my family. You will be missed!
