Grandma, it’s been a year and two months almost since you left us.. I don’t even know where to begin telling you how much I miss you, how our holidays haven’t been the same, how I’ve done what I can to make you proud while you’re watching down on me. I wish you were still here this life isn’t the same without you I can’t pick up the phone and call you I can’t hear Carson saying mamaw you’re my best friend I love you. I’d do anything to have you back I love you
Evelyn was one of the kindest most special ladies I have ever known. I have always thought of her as an angel who walked among us. Evelyn cared for my mom and dad, Bess and Herman Yarbrough. They loved her dearly and I know she loved them. Her life was a wonderful Christian witness. The world is a better place because she was here
Evelyn will be sorely missed by many. We spoke often of her love for "Family". They were her Pride and Joy in life. Be it Family or Friends, When there was a "Calling" - she responded readily to always lend a helping hand.
We shared a bond that only a true friends could have shared. Even though she was tired - in mind - body - and spirit, When the phone rings I will miss that little voice saying "What cha doin ?" Most of all I will miss her sign off at the end of our long conversations " Love You Les". That I will always cherish.
I want you to know Michael that your Grandmother loved you beyond words and she was so proud of you. She often referred to you as "Her Rock". The old Hymn - " Precious Memories " seems to say it all, May God Bless and Keep you in his care.

Evelyn was a very dear friend that I loved working with at the nursing home in the 80's and at Hall county hospital, I never heard her complain about nothing and she will surely be missed.
I met Evelyn when Barbara Booth was put on hospice and Evelyn was there almost everyday for support for the family. I always admired her strength and warm personality. She will be greatly missed by many. Shane and I send our condolences.
I'm proud to have been your friend! You were a good hearted woman. May the good Lord hold your family during this time
I remember when my sister and I would see her she always made us feel special. She always was so kind to everybody no matter who it was. I just called her last month and had a great visit with her she was still the same as I always remember SWEET....
LOVE YOU SO MUCH.
