Ernestine Haney, 80, of Claude, Texas died Saturday, April 6, 2024 in Amarillo, Texas.
Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 24, 2024 in the First Baptist Church in Claude with Rev. Dick Gravley, officiating. Inurnment will follow in Claude Cemetery in Claude.
Cremation & Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors.
Ernestine was born April 6, 1944 in Staten Island, New York to Ernest J. and Marion Hession Morris. She married Harold Reagan Haney on November 22, 1963 in Maplewood, New Jersey. She had been a resident of Claude since 1969 and worked as a Licensed Vocational Nurse prior to her retirement. She also was a dog groomer and did daycare for several years. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, arts, and crafts. She was an animal lover, loved her cats, and always loved feeding the birds and squirrels. She attended the First Baptist Church in Claude.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, on October 23, 2016; and her sisters, Janet Palmer, Elaine Morris, and Stella Zovak.
Survivors include her son, Harold Reagan Haney, Jr. and wife Teri of Centerville, Maryland; her daughters, Valerie Horton and husband Don of Amarillo and Kimberly Johnson and husband Brent of Claude; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
