SERVICES – 10:00 am Monday, November 17, 2014 in the First United Methodist Church in Clarendon with Rev. Bill Hodges, Rev. Chris Ford, and Dewey Ford, officiating.
INTERMENT – Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon.
ARRANGEMENTS - Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
Earl was born June 19, 1934 in Texola, Oklahoma to Dewey Gene and Dora Ida Deaton Ford. He married Phyllis Abernathy in 1958. He later married Barbara Gambill on November 1, 1985 in Amarillo. He had been a resident of Clarendon the past 47 years and had worked Maintenance Operations at Clarendon College prior to his retirement. He had been an assistant scout leader for Boy Scout Troop 433, volunteered for little league baseball, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Clarendon. Earl was also a member of the Tahlequah tribe of the Cherokee nation.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY – his parents; his wife, Barbara in 2006; 2 sons, Danny Ford and Johnny Morrow; a brother, Clyde Lee Ford; 2 sisters, Jurl Dene “Jeri” Roberts and AmaLee Henderson.
SURVIVORS – 2 sons, Dewey Ford and wife Cathy of West Virginia and Chris Ford and wife Terri of Clarendon; a daughter, Missy McKeever and husband Caroll of Burkburnett; a brother, Bennie Ford of Wheeler; a sister in law, Carmen Ford of Amarillo; 8 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
