Dwight Mandel Hardin's Obituary
Dwight Mandel Hardin, 67, of Clarendon, Texas, died Friday, June 12, 2026, in Clarendon.
Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at the Clarendon Church of Christ, with Chris Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon. Visitation is scheduled for Monday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, when the family will receive friends.
Arrangements are under the care of Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
Dwight was born on March 5, 1959, in Clarendon to Homer Watt and Annette Nash Hardin. He was raised in Clarendon and graduated from Clarendon High School in 1977. His career took him into satellite installation and technical support work, and he later earned a degree from DeVry University. After many years away, he returned home about ten years ago and worked locally at Allsup’s and Garrison’s before his health declined.
He was known for being outgoing and friendly, with interests that included shooting, gambling, spending time with his dogs, online gaming with friends, and listening to the symphony. He was also a loyal Dallas Cowboys fan.
Dwight was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his brother, Wayne Hardin of Clarendon; his sister, Cynthia Lindley and husband Tommy of Claude; his dog, Smoothie; and several extended family members.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Citizens Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 983, Clarendon, TX 79226.
