Coy Don Clay's Obituary
Services will be Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 11:30 AM in the Church of Christ in Shamrock with Rev. Max McClendon, officiating.
Coy Don was born August 27, 1943 in Wheeler County, Texas to Coy Andrew and Willie Pearl Clay. He graduated from Andrews High School in 1962 and from West Texas State University in 1972.
Coy Don loved being around family and friends, one of his favorite things was working with the bible chair at West Texas State, where he made lifelong friends. He lived in Shamrock most of his life working for the family grocery store and selling life insurance. His hobby was collecting model cars (were a topic of conservation at the nursing home). He was a wonderful and fun brother and we wil miss him being part of our lives.
He was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents and his parents.
He is survived by a brother Dirk Clay and niece Brianna & nephew Rodney. Also great niece Layla & great nephew Paxton.
Also survived by a sister Barbara & husband Vin Betenbough, two nieces; Sherri Merchant & Angie Wilson, two great nieces Avery & Peyton Wilson
