Mike & Sandy Hanner
Sandy and I met Coy Don in January of 1968. We had just gotten married and I was a Junior at West Texas State. We initially met Coy Don at church in Canyon. A couple of months later, Sandy was hired as the secretary for the Bible Chair. We became very good friends with Coy Don and grew to love the spirit that he possessed. With many obstacles to overcome, he never seemed to let his situation affect his love of life. I graduated in January of 1970 and we had a couple of contacts with Coy Don after that. Life sped by and tonight (4-12-2018), Sandy and I got to talking about Coy Don and I told her to look him up on Facebook. We were saddened to see that Coy Don had passed away. I wish we would have made more of an effort to stay in contact with him. Coy Don was a great man and a wonderful Christian. He influenced countless people with his friendliness and the manner in which he lived his life. God welcomed Coy Don home with open arms. Wished we would have taken the time to come and see him.
