Charles Gaylon Robertson's Obituary
Charles Gaylon Robertson, 73, of Memphis, died on Saturday, February 9, 2019 in Memphis.
Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, February 14, 2019 in the Memphis Church of Christ with Mark Lance, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Memphis.
Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Memphis.
Charles was born May 2, 1945 in Memphis to Charlie Byron and Mamie Lee Cochran Robertson. He married Shari June Wheeler on April 11, 1964 in Memphis. He had been a lifetime resident of Hall County where he had worked in the oilfield and the peanut plant for several years. He was a hard worker and ranching was his life. He loved horses, hunting, fishing, and leather crafts. He was a member of the Memphis Church of Christ.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; his wife on February 22, 2015; a brother, Jerry Robertson; and 4 sisters, Willie “Norene” Meyer, Billie Clyde Foote, Doris Harrington, and Bonnie Jean Fager.
Survivors include 2 sons, Benny Robertson and wife Sherry of California, and Jerry Robertson and wife Melissa of Amarillo; a daughter, Wendy Robertson of Carrollton; a sister, Franki Robertson of Amarillo; 3 grandchildren, Bradley, Adrienne, and Erica; and 3 great grandchildren, Madison, Adley, and Jadence.
