Windell "Wink" Dewey Penney's Obituary
Services will be held at 11:00 am this Saturday, November 26, 2016 at the First Baptist Church in Memphis, Texas, where he was a member for 46 years. Rev. Daniel Downey will be officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Memphis.

Wink, as he was affectionately known by his family and friends, was born in Morton, Texas on July 29, 1933. After attending high school, he proudly served his country in the United States Army until he was later honorably discharged. Wink was the owner/CEO of the Mighty Memphis Construction Company in Memphis, Texas for over 30 years. He was proud to be the founding member of the Gentlemen’s Breakfast Club of Memphis and the owner of Penney Farm.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY – his parents, Harbert and Bertha Penney; his brothers Carl, Jake, and William; and by a sister, Helen.
SURVIVORS – his wife of nearly 60 years, Helen Deanne Penney of Memphis; 2 daughters and their husbands, Pam and Kim Killian of Amarillo and Sharon and Matt Monzingo of Bastrop; a son and his wife, Dan and Jerri Penney of Wylie; 2 sisters, Joy Talkington of Amarillo and Jo Hurt of Austin; 6 grandchildren, Ben and Catherine Monzingo of Houston, Whitney and Clint Coles of Cuero, Kara and Beau Chambers of San Angelo, Austin and Katie Penney of Denison, Courtney Killian of Lubbock and Andrew Penney of Dallas; and 5 great grandchildren, Easton Coles, Millie and Levi Penney, Cora Monzingo, and Ava Chambers who will make her debut in February 2017.
