HEDLEY
SERVICES- 10:00 am Tuesday, December 27, 2011 in the Bowie Street Church of Christ in Wellington with Don Stone and Bright Newhouse, officiating.
INTERMENT- Rowe Cemetery in Hedley.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
Mr. Stephens was born March 1, 1919 in Roby to John Henry & Minnie Mae Stephens. He married Zora Baker on July 4, 1946 in Memphis. He was a World War II Veteran serving in the US Army. He had been a resident of Hedley and loved to play dominoes at the Hedley Sr. Citizens everyday. He also loved to fish. He was a farmer and also worked for Donley County for several years. He was a member of the Hedley Church of Christ.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY - his parents; his wife, on October 15, 2008; a son, Roy Lee Stephens; a grandson, Neal Wade Duncan; 5 brothers; and 1 sister.
SURVIVORS - 2 sons, Coy Stephens and wife Ellen of Fritch, and Henry Stephens and wife Nancy of Hedley; 2 daughters, Barbara Duncan and husband Herbert, and Pattie Gilbert and husband Bill all of Wellington; a sister, Donnie Mae Selby of Hedley; 10 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.
MEMORIALS- The family request memorials be sent to the Hedley Sr. Citizens.
