Wilson Gayle Morrison's Obituary
W.G. (Gayle) Morrison, 79, passed away on May 4th, 2019 at his home in Richmond, Texas.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, May 11th at Robertson Funeral Directors, in Memphis, Texas, with Rev. Daniel Downey officiating. Visitation will be open between 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm on Friday, May 10th, and also between 10:00 am and Noon on Saturday at Robertson Funeral Directors, 514 North 10th Street, Memphis. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Memphis.
Gayle was born on July 7th, 1939 in Memphis to William "Buster" and Imogene Morrison. He and his wife Linda Crisman Morrison were married on October 6th, 1956 in Tell, Texas.
Gayle graduated from Estelline High School in 1957. He attended SMU and began his successful career in 1961 with Texas Instruments, where he retired 22 years later as a microelectrical engineering manager. After leaving TI in 1983, he worked for Intel Corporation as an engineering manager. In 1987, he co-founded PMT Inc. in Tempe, AZ and in 1992 he co-founded EnvironClean Inc. also in Tempe.
He and his wife Linda returned to their home town of Memphis in 1998. While there, he proudly served as a member and president of the Lion's Club, a board member of the Hall County Hospital, on the Memphis Economic Development Board and was a supporter of the Boy Scouts of America.
He is survived by his wife Linda, son and daughter-in law Randy and Areletta Morrison, daughter and son in law Tony and Lesha Vaccaro, as well as 4 grandsons and 2 granddaughters,13 great grandchildren and one on the way, his brother and wife Gary and Jolene Morrison, brother in law and wife Dwain and Wanda Crisman, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and life long friends that he loves dearly. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Nick.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the Fairview Cemetery Association at P.O. Box 265, Memphis, TX 79245.
