GUNNISON, COLORADO SERVICES - 11:00 am on Saturday, June 7, 2008 in Robertson Chapel Of Memories with Rev. Lance Wood, Pastor of First Baptist Church in Clarendon, officiating. INTERMENT - Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon. Mr. Parker was born September 17, 1924 in Wellington to William Preston and Alice Cleveland Parker. He married Iva Ruth "Skeet" Gibbs on April 16, 1943 at Clarendon. He was a US Army Air Corp Veteran of World War II, where he was a flight engineer on B-29 aircraft based in Guam and which flew missions over Japan. He was a District Sales Manager for Nabisco in Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas for more than 35 years before his retirement in 1987. PRECEDED IN DEATH BY - his wife on December 6, 2007. SURVIVORS - one daughter, Sharon Duncan and husband Ken of Lewisville, Texas; 2 sons, Marvin Claude Parker and wife Neva of Gunnison, Colorado, Richard "Dick" Parker and wife Edith of Moore, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Kim Duncan and husband Kevin of Gunnison, Colorado, Damon Parker and wife Missy of Gunnison, Colorado, Richard Duncan and wife Mindy of Haslet, Texas; and three great grandchildren, Charlton Duncan, Braydon Duncan, and Avery Parker all of Gunnison, Colorado.
