William Joseph Dyson's Obituary
Church services will be held Monday, February 07, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church Mobeetie, TX with Rev. Gary Jahnel and Rev. Dick Irvine officiating. Burial will be in the Mobeetie Cemetery, Mobeetie, TX under the direction of Wright Funeral Home, Wheeler, TX. William was born December 19, 1933 in Wheeler, TX to Clarence Dyson and Ether Meek Dyson. He graduated from Briscoe High School in 1954.William farmed and ranched all his life. He worked at the Beef Cattle Co. from 1969-2004. He married Shirley Fugate Dyson on April 4, 1959 in Pampa, TX. He was a resident of the Wheeler Care Center for 4 years. William was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Mobeetie and served as a trustee for 10 years. William served in the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother Nelson Dyson. William is survived by his wife Shirley Dyson of Pampa, TX., 1 son Jerry Dyson and wife Linda of Pampa, TX., 1 daughter Debbie Hammer and husband Todd of Chico, TX., 3 brothers R.H. Dyson and wife Betty of Pampa, TX., Richard dyson and wife Helen of Sayre, OK., Robert Dale Dyson and wife Carol of Pampa, TX., 2 grandchildren Libby Dyson of Pampa, TX., Thomas Hammer of Chico, TX., and several nieces and nephews. The family has requested in lieu of flowers memorial be sent to wheeler Care Center 1000 S. Kiowa Wheeler, TX 79096 or First United Methodist Church of Mobeetie P.O. Box 7 Mobeetie, TX 79061.
