SHAMROCK
GRAVESIDE SERVICES- 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 1, 2014 in the Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery in Canadian with Joe Clayton and David Young, officiating.
INTERMENT- with US Navy Honors will be in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery in Canadian.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Shamrock.
Bill was born September 6, 1937 in Wheeler to Luther and Dorothy Welch Clayton. He married Carmen Lita Zahn on November 13, 1963 in Fort Lupton, Colorado. He was a US Navy veteran serving from 1956-1960. He had been a resident of Canadian before moving to Shamrock in 2001. He was a great carpenter and loved to build things. Bill also enjoyed making dream catchers and Indian décor. He loved to read his bible and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Shamrock.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY – his parents; his wife, on June 9, 1999; a brother, Dearl Clayton; and a sister, Kay Orr.
SURVIVORS – his sister, Nell Woodruff of Shamrock; a brother, Joe Clayton of Albuquerque, New Mexico; a step daughter, Jacque Canada of Canadian; a half brother, Albert Orr of Amarillo; a half sister, Dana Davis of Canadian; 2 granddaughters and 1 grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
MEMORIALS - The family request memorials be sent to First Baptist Church in Shamrock.
