I was just talking to someone about Wes yesterday and later learned he had passed away. I mentioned to the individual about how we missed doing business with him. Wes was such a great person, and we at Stockmen's Feed Bunk always looked forward to him coming back, not just for the tack, but also for the conversations we would have with him. He was such a thoughtful and honest man. He was truly one of a kind. We need more men like Wes. I would like to say that we all formed such good friendships with Wes. He was a very personable and loving individual. He will truly be missed and our prayers and condolences go out to the family.
I have known Wes for over 25 years as a customer who purchased our Double Diamond Halter products. Wes was as genuine as they come. On our first order we failed to charge him for the lead ropes that we sent with the halters. When I called him, Wes said that he had sold all of them based on the price in the invoice. But then true to his sense of fairness he said, "well I'll just send you all of the money I collected, we will both loose some and we will make it up on the next orders". We continued in business until he retired. It was always enjoyable to see him at the WESA trade show in Denver. A prince amongst men and I will always be proud to have known him. He will be missed by everyone that ever crossed his path. May his family and friends be comforted by all of the good memories. Happy trails Wes RIP
