SHAMROCK SERVICES- 2:00 pm Tuesday, October 30, 2012 in the Eleventh Street Baptist Church in Shamrock with Rev. David Moore, Pastor, officiating. INTERMENT- Shamrock Cemetery in Shamrock. Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Shamrock. Mr. Morgan was born April 26, 1931 in Collingsworth County to Audie Pearl and John M. Morgan, Sr. He married Sandra Baker on August 11, 1966 in McLean. He had been County Judge of Wheeler County for many years as well as the Mayor of Shamrock for several years. He also was the Wheeler County School Superintendent and a farmer for several years. He was a member of the Shamrock Lions Club, Shamrock Boosters Club, and the Eleventh Street Baptist Church in Shamrock. PRECEDED IN DEATH BY – his parents; 3 brothers, Michael Lynn Morgan, Harry Morgan, and John M. Morgan, Jr.; a sister, Johnnie Mae Oliver; and a nephew, John M. Morgan, III. SURVIVORS – his wife, Sandra Morgan of Shamrock; a son, Clifton Morgan and wife Jenny of Shamrock; 3 sisters, Audra Morgan of Shamrock, Barbara Martin of Euless, and Wanda Barber of Cleburne; 5 grandchildren, Drayton Morgan, Destry Morgan, Sunny Avery, Lilly Morgan, and Dylan Thornberry; and a great grandchild, Dylan E. Thornberry; and several nieces and nephews. MEMORIALS - The family request memorials be sent to the Eleventh Baptist Church in Shamrock. The family will be at 918 South Houston in Shamrock.
