HOWARDWICK SERVICES- Graveside Services will be at 10:30 am, Monday, November 5, 2007 in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon with Rev. Dave Stout, Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Howardwick, officiating. BURIAL - Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon. Mr. Combs was born August 12, 1921 in Paradise, Texas to Worthy Eugene and Olie Erick Combs. He married Joyce Marr on February 17, 1949 at Hereford. He was a US Navy veteran of World War II., and was a compressor operator for Pioneer Natural Gas and later Cabot Corporation before retiring. He was a resident of Pampa for 25 years before moving to Howardwick 22 years ago. He was a member of the Clarendon Country Club and the Men’s Golf Association for many years. SURVIVORS INCLUDE- his wife, Joyce of Howardwick; 2 sons, Claude Combs and wife Cathie of Amarillo, and Charles Combs of Chandler, Arizona; 3 grandchildren, Charles Michael Combs of College Station, William Edward Combs of Amarillo, and Lindsey Marie Combs of Amarillo; a cousin, 2 nieces & 2 nephews.
