SERVICES – 3:00 PM Saturday, September 26, 2015 in the First United Methodist Church in Memphis with Rev. Jack Dominguez, officiating.
INTERMENT – Fairview Cemetery in Memphis.
ARRANGEMENTS - Robertson Funeral Directors of Memphis.
Wanda was born on July 25, 1933 in Childress County to Roy and Tressie Mae Collyer. She married D.C. Messick, Jr. on September 9, 1952 in Kirkland. She had been a resident of Memphis since 1966 where she was a member of the Oliver Circle, Red Hatters, the 51 club, and the First United Methodist Church. She also volunteered for Meals on Wheels and Little League in Memphis.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY – her parents; her husband on March 23, 2014; her daughter, Melinda Milhlo; and a sister, Maxine Nye.
SURVIVORS – a son, Mark Messick and wife Beth of Amarillo; a daughter, Cheryl Graves and husband Marvin of Missouri City, TX; a brother, Don Collyer of Midland; a sister, Margaret Peter and husband Martin of Carrollton; 5 grandchildren, Chris Murdock and wife Brooke, Chance Murdock, Jeramy Graves, Erica Rice and husband Jared, and Josh Messick; and 9 great grandchildren.
