CLARENDON
SERVICES- 11:00 am, Friday, January 4, 2008 in St. John the Baptist Episcopal Church in Clarendon with Rev. Jim Aveni, Vicar, officiating.
INTERMENT- Citizens Cemetery.
Mr. Hardin was born September 17, 1907 in Savannah, Tennessee to Watt & Lola Sims Hardin. He married Maxine Elizabeth Ellis on June 10, 1947 in Clarendon. He was a US Army World War II veteran where he attained the rank of Corporal. He had been a resident of Clarendon for over 85 years and farmed for 53 years before retiring. He tended to his garden beside his house until he was 98. He was a member of the St. John the Baptist Episcopal Church.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY- his parents; a brother, Hall Hardin; 2 sisters, Ruth Cearley & Ann Marie Estes.
SURVIVORS INCLUDE- his wife, Maxine; 3 daughters, Cheryl Hardin of San Antonio, Shauna Kidd of Austin, & Kelli Mooring of Canyon; 2 sons, David Hardin of Clarendon & Brent Hardin of El Paso; a brother, Homer Hardin of Clarendon; a sister, Mary Kay Todd of Clovis, NM; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren.
