W T Elliott's Obituary
WT Elliott left his earthly home and woke up in heaven, Friday July 25, 2025. It gives his family comfort that after 10 years of losing his eyesight the first thing he saw was the face of Jesus and his son Shane who he grieved the loss of for 42 years. He was born February 8, 1939 in Clarendon, TX to his loving parents William Otto Elliott and Cora Foster Elliott and was the only boy of 7 children.
WT graduated from Clarendon College, West Texas State University and Northern Arizona University. He spent almost 40 years in education as a teacher and administrator. In 1962 his first year of teaching in Dimmitt, TX he met and married his first and only love Bobbie Joan Radke of Malone, TX, a fellow first year teacher. They spent 62 years together. To this marriage were born two children, Shane and Shawna. After four years teaching in Dimmitt they taught Navajo students in Sanders, AZ for nine years before moving to Claude, TX where WT finished his teaching career as an administrator. After retiring from the public school system WT taught eight years at Clarendon College.
During the years from 1970 to 1990 the Elliott family owned and operated a cherry orchard in Montana that overlooked Flathead Lake where they learned to enjoy working alongside one another and created lifelong memories. WT and Bobbie spent their golden years travelling throughout the United States and volunteering extensively at numerous National Parks including Petrified Forest and Great Smoky Mountains National Parks.
