Virginia Villarrail's Obituary
Virginia Villarrail, 73, of Memphis, Texas, passed away Friday, August 1, 2025, in Lubbock.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at the Funeral Home Chapel in Memphis, with Rev. Dale Griswald officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery in Lakeview.
Viewing will take place on Tuesday, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the funeral home.
Arrangements are under the care of Robertson Funeral Directors of Memphis.
Virginia was born on December 27, 1951, in Crosbyton, Texas to Henry and Anita Arizola Rodriguez. She married David Villarrail Jr in 1965 at Floydada, Texas. She was a lifelong resident of Hall County, having lived in Lakeview and Memphis.
Virginia loved fishing and making tamales. Most people would know her as "the tamale lady", and she shared her love of making tamales with all her children. She loved her family and loved her grandkids especially. Virginia loved talking on the phone with her family as well. She was a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David Villarrail; and by 2 brothers, Raul and Joe Rodriguez.
Survivors include 3 sons, Joe Camacho and wife Frances of Memphis, Mark Villarrail and wife Tami of Estelline, Julio Villarreal and wife Vicky Garcia of Memphis; by a daughter, Lisa Alaniz and husband Javier of Houston; a sister, Pauline Rodriguez; 13 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and by 1 great-great grandchild.
