Virginia Lee McHam, 85, of Memphis, Texas died Thursday, February 8, 2024 in Childress, Texas.
Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, February 10, 2024 in Fairview Cemetery in Memphis with Rev. Anthony Knowles, officiating.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Memphis.
Virginia was born February 18, 1938 in Red River County, Texas to O.B. Walker Sr. and Ocie Lee Osburn Walker. She had been a housekeeper prior to her retirement and had been a resident of Memphis for several years. She enjoyed playing games, listening to music, making bead art, Christmas ornaments, and was very crafty. She deeply loved her grandkids and great grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Bobby Jack Saxon; her brothers, Oscar Walker, Jr. and Wendell Walker; her sisters, Jeanette McHam and Wenell Schull; and two grandchildren, Ashlie and Mindy Wiggins.
Survivors include her daughter Sheila Wiggins and husband Doug of Memphis; a sister, Zoda Farris of Memphis; 8 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be sent to Fairview Cemetery Association / PO Box 265 / Memphis, TX 79245.
