Virginia Gail DeBose Gearhart's Obituary
Virginia Gail DeBose Gearhart, 75, of Wheeler died Monday, January 15, 2018, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Services will be 2:00 pm Friday, January 19, 2018 in the First United Methodist Church in Wheeler with Stacy McCasland, officiating. Burial will follow in Wheeler Cemetery in Wheeler.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Wheeler.
Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM Thursday, January 18, 2018 at the funeral home.
Virginia was born November 10, 1942 in Evansville, Indiana to Clifford and Margaret Humston. She had been a resident of Wheeler since 1980 where she was a dedicated nurse and helped many people for over 30 years at Parkview Hospital. She loved sewing and garage sales. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She married F.L. Gearhart on November 22, 2013. Virginia was a member of the Wheeler Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers, Dick, Don, and Dave; a sister, Kathy.
Survivors include her husband, F.L. Gearhart of Wheeler; 2 sons, Jeff DeBose and wife Patti of Shamrock and Danny DeBose and wife Lori of Panhandle; a daughter, Tammy Whiteley and husband Sid of Sunray; 3 brothers, William Humston of Williamsville, New York, Robert Humston of Chula Vista, California, and Thomas Humston of Mt. Vernon, Indiana; 3 sisters, Connie Smith and Betty Humston both of Evansville, Indiana, and Peggy Turner of Canton, Ohio; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and several step children.
The family request memorials be sent to Parkview Hospital in Wheeler or Sunray Circle of Friends.
