Velma was my Aunt. She married her first husband , Don Butler, in a double wedding ceremony with her step-Sister Linda who married Bobby. I was the flower girl in their wedding. My parents had a very small home at that time so I cannot fathom having a double wedding in it but I remember it. I walked down the hallway and the preacher married them in the kitchen/dining room. Sadly, DonnButler turned out to be a very bad man who mistreated his wife and kept her locked away from her family. But her mom, my grandma, went down to the southern Texas border and saved her daughter by bringing her back home. Velma was a precious person and she always loved garage sales! She and her sisters all had a fondness for searching for bargains! I missed seeing my younger cousins Tony and LeeAnn as they grew up because Don kept them away. I just discovered Velma’s obituary today. I want to express my sympathy to Velma’s 3 children! May God bless you! Cindy Hall Hochstetler
