I'm so sorry for your loss.
Tookie has been my Best friend since we were 6 She will be in my heart forever.
Sending our thoughts and prayers for the Thornberry family. I remember beautiful Tookie when I was privileged to work on the campaign and congressional staff for Mac. Her down-to-earth gracious nature conveyed the southern born and bred woman I knew and admired! It seemed as though she never aged a bit! I know that the comfort that she is well and whole and is united with Don are a comfort in her passing. Her faith is now in full view of our Savior and Lord.
Bless you guys!

Our family sure loved Tookie. Dad enjoyed his time with Tookie time during years at DCSB. Prayers to the sons and family. We will miss your live and kindness, Tookie! Tell dad, hi for me...
Mac, Lance, and Drew, Jim and I always have loved your family. Your parents were so welcoming when we moved to Clarendon. Tookie was a beautiful person inside and out. We were all better for knowing her. She was very proud of you all and your families.

Please remember these words of encouragement from the Bible: “ Jesus plainly told her: “I am the resurrection and the life. He that exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life.” —John 11:20-25.
