INTERMENT - Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon.
Vada Morrison, a longtime resident of Clarendon & Claude, passed away Friday, August 3, 2007 at her home. She was born November 1, 1919 to Andy and Ester Shadix in Erick, Oklahoma. She married Ernest “Red” Morrison on January 15, 1938 in Floydada. She was a faithful born again Christian and member of the Assemblies of God Church since 1938. Her lifelong position was leading others to Christ through her singing and Christian living.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on May 21, 1997; & 1 son, Herman Morrison and wife Joyce in 2005.
She was a loving mother to a daughter, Carolyn Clark and husband Mickey of Amarillo; 2 sons, Jackie Morrison and wife Cheryl of Lawton, OK, & Larry Morrison and wife Deby of Amarillo; a brother, Lendal Shadix of Amarillo; 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great grandchildren.
