Tony Calvin Gilchrest's Obituary
Tony Calvin Gilchrest, 63, of Memphis died Saturday, April 16, 2022 in Childress.
Services will be 1:30 PM Saturday, April 23, 2022 in the First Baptist Church in Memphis with Michael Gilchrest, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Memphis.
Viewing will be held Friday at the funeral home with family receiving friends for visitation from 5:00-7:00 PM.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Memphis.
Tony was born September 6, 1958 in Memphis to C.W. and Ima Lee Gilchrest. He married Debbie Kathleen Hodges on December 30, 1983 in Memphis. He had been a lifetime resident of Memphis and loved working at Pierce Foundry where he was a dedicated employee for over 30 years at the time of his death. Tony enjoyed shooting pool, playing cards, and playing golf. He was a member of the Memphis Country Club where he was affectionately known as Bubba to many of his friends. He dearly loved his wife, daughter, and grandkids and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, C.W. and Ima Lee Gilcrest; his brother, Odell Gilchrest; his nephew, Clifton Don; and his nieces, Cliftie Dawn and Jayda Capree.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie Gilchrest of Memphis; his daughter, Trista Gomez and husband Daniel of Panhandle; a brother, John Robison and wife Nikki; his sisters, Alice Brock and husband Glenn of Marietta, Georgia and Joni Addison and husband Chris of Odessa; his grandkids, Santiago and Amelia Gomez; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
