Thomas "Tommy" Wilson's Obituary
Thomas “Tommy” Wilson, of Shamrock, TX passed away Monday, December 2, 2024 in Amarillo, TX at the age of 47 years, 8 months and 28 days. Graveside services will be at 1:00 PM on Monday, December 9, 2024 at Shamrock Cemetery in Shamrock, with Tim Hall officiating.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Shamrock.
Tommy was born March 5, 1977 in Kansas City, MO to Thomas Wayne and Linda (Collins) Wilson. When he was 5 years old, the family moved to Borger, TX, where he lived most of his life. His first job was in the oilfield. Soon, he began working for Troy Brown as an electrician. After several years, he joined Rice Construction as the Electrical Superintendent.
Tommy loved being outdoors, spending time fishing and hunting, and in 2021 he fulfilled his dream of owning a farm. He found and purchased a small area of land in Shamrock where he enjoyed raising cattle for the remainder of his life. In addition to working with his cattle, Tommy found great happiness in spending time with his family, grilling and building things.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ray and Betty Wilson and James and Barbara Collins; and two uncles, Mike Wilson and Pat Wilson.
Tommy is survived by his parents, Tom and Linda Wilson of Shamrock; his daughter, Hailey Wilson of Borger; two brothers, Mark Wilson and wife, Rebecca of Fritch, TX and Jeff Wilson of Shamrock; his niece and nephew, Leah Wilson and Bradley Wilson, both of Fritch; and numerous other family members.
In lieu of flowers, Tommy’s family encourages memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
