to the Shields family:
it is good to see so many people writing about Thelma.
I taught school with Thelma when she was teaching school in Claude. I remember her beautiful smile also. She was an example to the kids that she taught, and set examples for the rest of us. My daughter and son in law, Linda and Scot Wilson, were in the same class with Gary. They both have good memories of the school days with the "Shields Boys".
I know that Thelma will be greatly missed, but we have the choice to meet her again one day.

I never remember seeing Thelma that she didn't have a smile on her face! She loved people and music! She loved to play the piano and was very good at it. She played for dad all the time and he loved it! She had so much fun playing JoAnn Castle songs for dad! She loved that she knew every song he mentioned! Sweet sweet lady! She will be missed. She gave Susan piano lessons and there are many good stories about that! She was a good teacher. She will are missed. She was loved by many!!!

Sooo many special memories of Thelma & Arthur...all the Shields family. They were part of mine & Carol’s family. When I came to Clarendon to consider being the preacher for the chofCHRIST...there home was the first place that Tommy, Carol, Pamela, & Brad ate a meal...with a bunch of folks. FOOD was beyond great. We had a strong that continued thru weddings & funerals & lots more EATING & fellowship. Love family beyond words! Cato & I, Lord Willing are planning to sell house in Oklahoma & move to Canyon...continue friendship with Shields & others. Prayers & Love...

My aunt Thelma had the greatest sense of humor. The last time I saw her I was sleeping on her sofa and as I was waking up, my 87- year old aunt jumped out from behind the door and yelled out, “Boo!” I jumped and told her she just about gave me a heart attack. She replied, “ I just had to do it!” We both laughed so hard we cried.
Then there was the time she and Aunt Lou took a road trip and showed up at my house in their “ Thelma and Louise” t-shirts. How I loved them.
I’m so blessed to have Aunt Thelma ( or App, as her sibs called her) and all of the Moss siblings in my life.
Aunt Thelma, I can hear those heavenly ragtimes down here.
