AMARILLO SERVICES- 2:30 pm on Friday, March 31, 2006 in Robertson Chapel Of Memories with Rev. Jene Greer, assistant pastor of the St. Stephen United Methodist Church in Amarillo, officiating. INTERMENT- Memorial Park Cemetery in Amarillo, Texas. Mrs. Rudder was born on March 13, 1921 to Charlie William and Edna Hollingshead Lewis in Cisco, Texas. She married Elgie Hilbert Rudder on October 16, 1937 in Dickens, Texas. She was a resident of Clarendon since 1975 before moving to Amarillo last year. She was a homemaker and worked at Bivins Pharmacy in Clarendon. She was an active volunteer for the Burton Memorial Library and Donley County Senior Citizens. She was a member of the Genealogy Club. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Clarendon. She is preceded in death by her husband, on January 30, 1988 and 1 sister, Lou Shaffer. She is survived by her 2 daughters, Linda Heckman and husband Louis of Montgomery, and Glenda McCullough of Tulsa, Oklahoma; 1 son, Bobby Rudder and wife Anita of Amarillo; 1 sister, Jane McClure of Shallowater; 8 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
The family requests that memorials be sent to Bivins Memorial Nursing Home in Amarillo, Donley County Senior Citizens, or any Alzheimer‘s organization.
