SEVEN POINTS, TEXAS
SERVICES - Graveside Services at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 19, 2008, at the Goodnight Cemetery in Goodnight.
INTERMENT - Goodnight Cemetery in Goodnight.
Thelma was born April 30, 1924, in Monroe County, Alabama to Charles and Maggie Wiggins Fountain. She married Perry Newland Barham, Sr. on October 30, 1945, in Moss Point Mississippi. Prior to moving to Seven Points in 2005, Thelma had spent the last 30 years in Arlington. She had been a homemaker, sold real estate in Colorado, worked as a retail clerk for JC Penny’s, and had retired from Martin Sprocket and Gear in Arlington. She enjoyed dancing, playing games, and traveling. Thelma was also a member of the Red Hat Society. She was a Southern Baptist and attended church at the First Baptist Church in Tool, Texas.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY- her parents; her husband; 5 brothers; and 2 sisters.
SURVIVORS- a daughter, Ginny Robinette and husband Bob of Seven Points, Texas; 2 sons, Perry Barham, Jr. and fiance Betty Mueller of Chicago, Illinois, Bobby Barham and wife Geneva of Springtown, Texas; a brother, Woodrow Fountain of Alamogordo, New Mexico; a sister Voncile Drake of Conroe, Texas; 6 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.
The family requests memorial contributions be to a local Hospice of choice.
