Terry Wayne Harris' Obituary
Terry Wayne Harris was born to the late Claude Thomas Harris Sr and Rosetta Harris on November 28,1954, in Memphis Texas. He attended Palo Duro High School where he earned his diploma. He worked at Price Construction, Camaro Energy Homes and Big Springs State Hospital,
At the age of 70, he heard the voice of Jesus say " Come be love and Rest awhile." Terry made his transition, Friday morning, April 18, 2025 in his home. He was preceded in death by his father Claude Thomas Harris Sr., mother Rosetta Harris; brothers James Edward Scott, Bobby Dennis Scott, Henry Otis Washington, Claude Thomas Harris Jr.; sisters Ruby Jewels Scott, Shiela Winters, and Rita Gale Harris Turner.
Terry departed from the world leaving behind a legacy that continues to shine bright, Family gatherings were his cherished moment, where laughter and love filled the air. His love was the glue that bonded our family, and his joyful spirit will forever remind us of the power of unity, laughter and the beauty of life lived with love.
He is survived by his, beloved daughter Tomasha (Juan) Robinson, brother Gary T ( Vialanda) Harris, sisters Dolores Smith Toney, Selena Sue Harris Hunt , 5 grandchildren, special friend Gloria Shellie Taylor, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who will forever treasure the love and care he shared.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM Friday, April 25, 2025 at First Baptist Church of Memphis. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Viewing will be held prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home from 10 AM - 12 PM.
