Syvilla Lemons' Obituary
Syvilla Lemons, 91, of Memphis died Thursday, January 7, 2021 in Memphis.
Private family graveside services will be held Tuesday, January 12, 2021 in Fairview Cemetery in Memphis.
Viewing will be held Monday at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Memphis.
Syvilla was born October 17, 1929 in Memphis to Johnny Rufus and Willie Ethel Saunders. She was a graduate of Memphis High School and married the love of her life, Zeno Lemons on May 25, 1947. She was a loving Mother and Grandmother. She lived in Memphis until 1974 when they moved to Granbury, Texas and purchased a White's Auto Store. They moved back home to Memphis in 2000. She was very involved in activities that David and Camilla were in while in school and a Sunday School teacher for many years. She was a member of the Memphis Church of Christ, Hood County Genealogy Club, Granbury Car Club, Preservation Foundation of Memphis and Hall County Heritage Hall.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; brothers, J.D. Saunders, R.M. Saunders, and Wayne Saunders; sisters, Drucilla Davis, LaTrice Butler, and LaVern Williams.
Survivors include her two children, David Lemons and wife Deborah and Camilla Maddox and husband Robert all of Memphis; 4 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and 6 great great grandchildren.
The family request memorials be sent to the Memphis Church of Christ.
