Stella McClellan Lee's Obituary
Stella McClellan Lee, 93, of Leander, Texas, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2025, in Round Rock, Texas.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2025, in Hillcrest Cemetery, McLean, Texas, with Rev. Thacker Haynes officiating. Viewing and visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. the same day at the funeral home in McLean.
Arrangements are under the care of Robertson Funeral Directors of McLean, Texas.
Stella was born February 26, 1932, in McLean, Texas, to Jack and Mary Ellen Howard McClellan. On August 30, 1951, she married Edgar Doyle “Buck” Lee in Clovis, New Mexico. A devoted resident of McLean for most of her life, Stella served as City Secretary for the City of McLean for over 40 years, a role in which she was known for her dedication and integrity. She also kept books for McLean EMS for 20 years and served as church secretary for the former First Baptist Church in McLean for many years.
Stella’s life was marked by her love of learning and creativity. She enjoyed reading, sewing, knitting, crocheting, and cooking—gifts she often shared with family and friends. Her warmth, quiet strength, and steadfast faith left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Buck, in 2013; three brothers; one sister; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Stella is survived by her son, Doyle Lee and wife Cindy of Leander; her sister, Sarah Cunningham of Amarillo; her grandchildren, Dustin Lee and Kaela Lee; brothers-in-law, James Lee and O.K. Lee, both of Pampa; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family requests that memorials be made to Northway Bible Church, 589 San Gabriel Parkway, Leander, TX 78641.
