Sonny Frederick Northcutt, the youngest of 6 siblings, entered Eternal rest on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at the age of 37. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Vickie Floyd, and brother, Randy Northcutt.
He is survived by his brothers Tony Northcutt of Amarillo, TX, Toby Northcutt of Midland, TX, and Max Floyd of Pampa, TX, his sister Casondra (Deedee) Eidam of Amarillo, TX, his Aunt Sondra of Amarillo, TX, and many in-laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He shared a family-like bond with Bill Pitts and Justin White in Alanreed, learning from a young age what it meant to work with his hands and work hard at everything he did. Sonny had an abundance of friends and loved ones from every walk of life, too many to list but none forgotten. He also had a crazy love for his two dogs Gunner and Taco.
Sonny was a lifelong Oil and Gas Professional, holding many positions including Production Foreman, Production Chemical Specialist, and also Consultant to name a few. Sonny graduated from Frank Phillips College in 2006 with a degree in Applied Science- Industrial Instrumentation Technology. The intelligence he held was nothing short of incredible. Sonny was the handy man; the one everyone could depend on when they needed help. He loved to help people, and never hesitated to mentor and give advice. He was also a Mason member of the Shamrock Masonic Lodge #929 of Shamrock, TX.
Sonny lived life to the fullest with never a dull moment in his company, and his laughter was infectious. From the time he was little, with his freckled-face and red hair, Sonny was a ball of fire just waiting to see what was out there for him to get into. He had the biggest heart, loved with everything he had, and the world is a better place because of him. Those lessons we have all learned from Sonny will be taken to heart, ensuring his memory will live on. You will forever be our Sunshine, brother.
