Sondra "Sonie" Bybee's Obituary
McLEAN SERVICES – 10:00 AM Saturday, May 10, 2014 in the Robertson Funeral Directors Route 66 Chapel in McLean with the Rev. Z.A. Myers officiating. INTERMENT – Hillcrest Cemetery in McLean. Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of McLean. Sondra Kay (Sonie) Bybee went to her heavenly home in the early morning hours of May 7th, 2014. Sonie was born in McLean, Tx on September 12, 1939 to Pete and Geneva Graham. She was raised in Mclean and at a young age, she married Bill Heasley. They had three children: Ronnie, Brenda, and Vonda. After raising their children, Sonie and Bill parted ways. Sonie then married Wayne Bybee and gained another son, Billy. Sonie and Wayne were married until his passing in 1997. Sonie loved the water. Whether it was at Greenbelt Lake or Matagorda Beach, she never was far from it. She enjoy hunting for seashell and being on the pontoon boat. She shared the love for water with her family and friends, by opening up her homes to them. She helped her family make many fond memories near the water. Sonie was a vivivous woman full of life who will be missed greatly missed. PRECEDED IN DEATH BY- her parents; her step mother, Evelyn Graham; her husband, Wayne Bybee; and by a grandson, Rio Bailey Dennis. SURVIVORS – 2 sons, Ronie Heasley of Lake Brownwood, Texas, Billy Bybee and wife Shawn of McLean; 2 daughters, Brenda Farber and husband Douglas of Abilene, Vonda Averett and husband Sammy of Crosby; a step brother, Brad Graham of New Mexico; 2 sisters, Nedra Brooks of Kingfisher, Oklahoma, Donna Sue Bartley of Lake Greenbelt; a step sister, Vickie Naylor of Tucumcari, New Mexico; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and by a special friend, Lonnie Paenetz. The family suggests memorials be to an organization or charity of one’s choice.
