Shirley Ann Tabor Taylor's Obituary
Shirley Ann Tabor Taylor of Fort Worth passed away in North Richland Hills on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at the age of 76.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 5, 2021 at the Robertson Funeral Directors Saints’ Roost Chapel in Clarendon with Rev. Lance Wood, pastor of First Baptist Church of Clarendon, officiating.
Burial will follow immediately at Lakeview Cemetery in Lakeview.
Viewing will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 pm until the time of service.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
Shirley was born October 26, 1944 in Memphis, Texas to J.B. Tabor and Pauline Ella Howard. She married Billy Don Taylor in 1968 at Durant, Oklahoma. Shirley had been a homemaker and housekeeper during her early years. She then helped serve at Furr’s and was a door greeter at Wal-Mart. Shirley loved people and it was very evident in the jobs that she had. She was a very genuine, caring, and loving mother; you could count on Shirley having dinner ready and on the table every night. She cared not only for her family, but also for everyone she met. She loved birds and loved to dance. She was very involved in her kid’s activities, taking them to all the various events that they would participate in. Shirley was a member of the Lakeview Baptist Church in Grand Prairie, Texas.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, and by her step-father Percy Sisk.
She is survived by 3 daughters, Lisa Morehead of California, Elizabeth Ann Taylor of Frisco, and Valerie Ann Taylor-Zaksek of Fort Worth; 4 grandchildren; ex-husband, Billy Don Taylor; and by 2 special friends, Lucy Hinkle and Doris Barnes.
The family would like memorials to be sent to a favorite charity of one’s choice.
