Shirley Ann Morris' Obituary
Shirley passed away surrounded by loved ones at BSA hospital in Amarillo, TX on the morning of December 10, 2021.
Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 17, 2021 at the One Way Church in McLean with Pastor Casey Carter of the One Way Church, and Pastor Thacker Haynes of the United Methodist Church in McLean, officiating. Cremation & Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of McLean.
Shirley was born on June 17, 1943 to John and Buna Gudgel. She had lived in the McLean, Gray County area for her entire life. She had worked at McLean Care Center in McLean for several years, a job which she loved, before her retirement. She loved sewing, canning, and was famous for her homemade pickles and handmade denim quilts. She was a Baptist and was loved by many.
Shirley is preceded in death by her parents; 3 sisters, Betty Campbell, Dorothy Steel, and Mary Basham; a brother, Elmer Keith Gudgel; a son, Floyd Gene Morris; a grandson, Johnathan Dwayne Reeves; and 2 great grandchildren, Bryan Christopher Bybee and Audrey Joslynn Morris.
Shirley is survived by 2 sisters, Marlene Hamby of Miami, TX, Arlene Back and husband Rex of Kansas; 2 daughters, Dorothea Jean Cooper of McLean, TX and Kimberly Dawn Morris-Graham of McLean, TX; a son, Lloyd Dean Morris of Pampa, TX; 6 grandchildren, Christopher John Bybee of TX, Summer Lyn Mahmudi and husband Hamed of Newark, DE, Corey Dean Graham of Oklahoma City, OK, Cody Dyllon Morris of TX, Casey Rene Graham of Del City, OK, and Colton Donald Morris of Pampa, TX; numerous great grandchildren including Elizabeth Bybee of Michigan, Joshua Allen Bybee of Dallas, TX, Kaitlyn Dawn Jeffries of McLean, TX, Keegan Campbell and Michael Campbell of McLean, TX, and Brantley Lloyd Yeary of Del City, OK.
