Shirley L. Joyce, 89, of Hudson Oaks, Texas died Monday, April 7, 2025 in Justin, Texas.
Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Friday, April 11, 2025 in Alanreed Cemetery in Alanreed.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
Shirley was born August 4, 1935 in Alanreed, Texas to Herman and Hattie Lorene Terbush Tipton. She married Weston K. Joyce on April 18, 1955. She proudly served our country in the US Air Force and was a resident of Denver, Colorado before moving to the Dallas-Fort Worth area in 1972. Shirley had worked as a secretary for many years for the Texas Hereford Association. Shirley was an avid reader who loved reading all types of books throughout her lifetime. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on November 8, 2015; her son, James P. Joyce on April 30, 2019; and her brothers, Leslie Tipton and Richard Tipton.
Survivors include her daughter, Susan Joyce and Sherry Sermons of Justin, Texas; 4 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
The family request memorials be sent to the ASPCA.
