Sheila Mae Stevens' Obituary
SHAMROCK SERVICES– 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 19, 2013 in the Calvary Christian Fellowship Church in Shamrock with Rev. Joe G. Jernigan, officiating. INTERMENT- Shamrock Cemetery in Shamrock. Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Shamrock. Sheila was born October 13, 1951 in Shamrock to Leroy and Wanda Shirey Mayden. She had married Robert Stevens, whom preceded her in death in 1971. Sheila graduated from nursing school in 1977 and spent 28 years serving those at the Shamrock Care Center and various nursing homes in the area. She loved crocheting and loved to read. She was a member of the Red Hat Club in Amarillo. Sheila was a lifetime resident of Shamrock and was a member of the Calvary Christian Fellowship Church in Shamrock. PRECEDED IN DEATH BY – her father; a brother, Jimmy Mayden; a sister Sharon Dougherty; and by a niece, Stormie Keith. SURVIVORS – her mother, Wanda Mayden of Shamrock; a daughter Rhonda Haertling and husband Max of Shamrock; a brother, Roger Mayden and wife Dixie of Clairmore, Oklahoma; a sister, Sandra Butcher and husband Norman of Snyder, Texas; 2 grandchildren, Brandee Perez and Denver Page; 3 great grandchildren, Briah, A’Dyn, Kyle; several nieces and nephews; and 2 special friends, Judy Kyle of Amarillo and Gary McWharter of Lela. MEMORIALS – The family requests that memorials be made to one’s favorite nursing school program’s scholarship fund.
